Former Minister Thalatha Atukorale has been appointed the General Secretary of the United National Party (UNP).
The appointment was made by UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe, party chairman Wajira Abeywardena said today (03).
A former MP of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, Atukorale announced her resignation from Parliament prior to the presidential election last year, citing her inability to continue to remain in the SJB due to the presence of corrupt crossovers from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.
