National Pillow Fight Championship to be held next month

The 2nd National Pillow Fight Championship, jointly organized by the Ethnosport Federation and the Pillow Fight Development Committee, is planned to be held at the end of next month.

The tournament, which will be held in both men’s and women’s categories, will feature men’s events in the weight classes of 50, 60, 70, 80, under 90 and over 90 kilograms, women’s events in three weight classes of 55 and under 70 and over 70 kilograms, and men’s/women’s open and mixed teams.

Organizers also say that medals will be awarded for the top 3 places in each weight class, and cash prizes will be awarded along with medals for the best team and the top 3 places in the open competition.

Arrangements have been made to present a certificate to all participants.

A mixed team must include two male and one female players, and an additional player may also be nominated.

Each round lasts two minutes, and if the balance is not lost, the player with the most technical attacks wins. Multiple teams from one sports club can apply.

Applications should be sent by post to the Ethno Sports Federation, No. 91, ‘Jana Neguma’ Moronthuduwa Junction, Moronthuduwa, Wadduwa before 6th April.
