The accident occurred while the group was returning to Colombo after participating in a ceremony held in Jaffna yesterday (31).

Accordingly, the injured were admitted to the Thalawa hospital via another vehicle that accompanied them, and later transferred to Anuradhapura hospital for further treatment.

The condition of two of the injured is critical, and they have been admitted to the intensive care unit, as reported by sources at the Anuradhapura hospital.
