Police protection for all MPs again

Each and every Member of Parliament will get police protection in the form of two ministerial security division (MSD) personnel given to them, the police headquarters has decided.

This follows instructions given by the speaker of parliament to the acting police chief to ensure the safety of the MPs and in consideration of the heightened underworld activities in recent days.

However, MPs are free to either accept or reject police protection.

The present regime withdrew the police protection given to MPs, sending them back to normal duties.
