The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) has announced that individuals will be required to provide their Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) to access its services, effective 15 April 2025.

In an official statement, the department emphasized that submitting a TIN will be mandatory for obtaining various services, ensuring better compliance with tax regulations and streamlining administrative processes.

The new requirement is expected to enhance transparency and accountability within the vehicle registration and licensing system.

Further details on the implementation of this directive and how individuals can obtain a TIN are expected to be released in the coming months.
