Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has approved a donation of Rs. 300 million to the government’s “Rebuilding Sri Lanka” fund to aid recovery efforts following Cyclone Ditwah.

The decision, taken under the direction of SLC President Shammi Silva and the Executive Committee, reflects the board’s “strong sense of responsibility” as the country’s leading sporting body and steward of a game embraced by millions, SLC said in a statement.

The SLC said the contribution is intended to help the government deliver emergency relief to families affected by the cyclone and restore essential public services critical to rebuilding communities.

Silva said SLC would continue supporting the nation during times of crisis as part of its ongoing commitment to Sri Lanka’s recovery and long-term development.
