Lanka Indian Oil Corporation (Lanka IOC) and Sinopec have increased the price of Octane 95 petrol by Rs. 20 per litre, raising the retail price to Rs. 495 with effect from midnight on October 25.
Following the revision, Octane 95 petrol will be sold at Rs. 495 per litre at filling stations operated by both companies, up from the previous price of Rs. 475.
The increases apply to the companies’ respective fuel station networks across Sri Lanka.
The latest revisions will increase fuel costs for motorists using premium-grade petrol, which is commonly required by vehicles designed to operate on higher-octane fuel.
Lanka IOC and Sinopec are among the major private-sector fuel retailers operating in Sri Lanka alongside the state-owned Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).
The latest price adjustments come amid continued attention on domestic fuel pricing and its impact on motorists and household expenses.
