Black Caps beat Sri Lanka in second T20

The Black Caps have clinched the T20 series with a game to spare, after successfully defending their tally of 186 runs at Mt Maunganui’s Bay Oval.

After batting first, New Zealand were 186/5 at the end of their 20 overs, while Sri Lanka were all out for 141 runs in the 19th over, 46 runs short of their target.

NZ now have a 2-0 lead in the series.

The final game at Saxton Oval in Nelson is scheduled for 1.15pm on Thursday.
