Govt to auction V8 vehicles of state institutions

The Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Mahinda Siriwardena, has instructed all heads of state departments to auction the high-capacity V8 luxury vehicles of state institutions before 01 March and submit the income reports.

It is also stated that the circular also emphasizes that the vehicles auctioned should not be repurchased by any state institution.

It is further stated that these instructions have been sent to the secretaries of ministries and heads of other state institutions through a circular.
