Kids spend time alone as parents are on social media

There is a prevalent social tragedy of children becoming isolated and alone due to the parent’s addiction to social media and cyber surfing, revealed Ganga Dilhani, Director of the School Health and Nutrition Education Division of the Ministry of Education.

She noted that parents who are addicted to social media have neglected their children’s work. According to her, the percentage of girls becoming isolated has increased.

She also explained that this situation has been identified in the activities carried out in schools.
