Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that despite the government being in power for a year, the public has yet to witness any meaningful progress or visible development.

Speaking to reporters yesterday at the residence of Kalutara District MP and former Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena where he attended a programme marking the parliamentarian’s birthday, Rajapaksa offered a terse assessment of the government’s first year.

“Nothing is being done,” he said, when asked about the administration’s progress.
