Those who possess Ferrari licenses dislike to be together with L-board holders, said former president Ranil Wickremesinghe, when the media inquired from him if he intends to return to parliament.

He had no intention whatsoever to be an MP in the L-board parliament, said Wickremesinghe, which he has intimated to the working committee of the United National Party (UNP) too.

The ex-president said he was modestly happy that he took the reins of a bankrupt country and fulfilled the challenge.

With the people entrusting the country’s responsibilities to a new group, it is their duty to accomplish it, added Wickremesinghe.
