Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land, and Irrigation, K.D. Lal Kantha, underscored the importance of collaboration with entrepreneurs such as Dudley Sirisena and Dhammika Perera, both of whom play crucial roles in the nation’s future development.

Reflecting on the past struggles of the nation, he recalled the uprisings of 1971 and 1988, describing them as pivotal moments where many sacrificed their lives for socialism.

However, Minister Lal Kantha pointed out that the socialist model is no longer viable globally, and the country must adapt by engaging with nations across the world.

The Minister made these comments while addressing a public function, highlighting the need for practical and progressive policies to ensure the country’s progress in a rapidly changing world.
