Sri Lanka Insurance DGM given marching orders by new chairman

Deputy General Manager (Human Resources) of Sri Lanka Insurance Thilina Tharanga Hiripitiya has been told by his newly-appointed chairman Nusitha Kumaratunga to quit.

According to report by ‘ Anidda’, Hiripitiya has lodged a written complaint in this regard to the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance on 22 December.

In his letter, the DGM claims the chairman demanded his resignation with immediate effect on 12 December after misinterpreting documents signed by him and the CEO and sent for the rectification of the delayed promotions at Sri Lanka Insurance.

Furthermore, the chairman has been accused of going against institutional norms and giving orders orally to severely inconvenience the management.
