Director general of the Bribery Commission Ranga Dissanayake was a member of the JVP’s legal committee 20 years ago, said former Panadura mayor Nandana Gunatilake.

Gunatilake said he knew about that because it was him who had summoned that committee as a politburo member then.

The ex-mayor said during a political talk-show on Hiru TV yesterday (25) that he had documentary proof for his claim, adding the government was appointing its cronies to cover things up.

Gunatilake left the JVP in 2006 and joined the UNP.
