Ceypetco restructuring aims to cut staff by 1,200

A restructuring is now taking place in the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Ltd. (CPSTL) to minimize staff.

CPC managing director Mayura Nettikumara said no employee would be inconvenienced and there would be no recruitments in place of the retirees.

The aim is to reduce the present staff of 3,200 to 2,035.
