Consumer advocacy group says a governor is exacerbating coconut shortage

The National Consumers’ Front has accused a governor in the country of buying and exporting coconuts in large quantities.

Addressing a media briefing in Colombo, its chairman Asela Sampath says that if these coconut exports are stopped at this moment, it will help to alleviate the coconut shortage in Sri Lanka.
