Gihan de Silva has been appointed chairman of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) by media minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.
He fills the vacancy created following the resignation of Senesh Bandara Dissanayake from the position.
De Silva is considered an accomplished professional with more than 25 years of experience in multi-band institutional operations.
His expertise in marketing, strategic planning and management has earned him acclaim in influential brand launching.
Following his education at Nalanda College, Colombo, de Silva graduated in business administration from Sri Jayewardenepura University and in business management from Colombo University.
He also functions as a member of the presidential task force on ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ for national development and sustainability.
