Third chairman under Bimal’s ministry resigns

Dr. Bandula Dileepa Witharana has resigned as chairman of the National Transport Commission.

He tendered his resignation to the transport ministry secretary.

While serving as a lecturer at the Nawala Open University, he also acts as chief of the NPP’s transport committee.

Witharana is the third head of the institution coming under transport minister Bimal Ratnayake to have resigned, after Ramal Siriwardena as the SLTB chairman and Dr. Ruwan Wijayamuni as head of the National Transport Medical Institution.
