National Organizer of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), MP Namal Rajapaksa, has urged the party’s local government election candidates to focus on promoting policies rather than engaging in personal attacks against their political opponents.

Addressing a public meeting, Rajapaksa said that intelligent voters are more concerned about policies than personal matters.

He pointed out that slandering one’s political foes offers no real benefit and called on party members to take the SLPP’s vision directly to the people.

“We must take the SLPP policies from village to village and ensure people understand our platform as voters will respond to substance, not slander,” he said.
