Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is expected to make a return to parliament before the end of this year, ‘Lankadeepa’ reports.

According to the report, a current national list MP from the New Democratic Front (NDF) will resign in order to make way for Wickremesinghe.

Several opposition lawmakers are likely to engage with Wickremesinghe following his re-entry into parliament, marking a significant shift in political dynamics.

Various political factions have already requested the former President to consider parliamentary politics, further fueling speculations regarding his imminent return.
