The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has initiated a review of its party organizers amid concerns over poor election performance and weakening organizational strength.

A five-member committee has been established to investigate the causes behind the decline in votes and the overall effectiveness of current organizers.

The committee is scheduled to hold its inaugural meeting next week.

Those identified as underperforming will be called upon to explain their shortcomings before the party moves to appoint replacements.

The SJB is also actively considering a growing number of applicants keen to take up vacant organizer roles.

The decision to conduct this internal review was made at a recent meeting of the SJB Working Committee, chaired by the Leader of the Opposition and party leader Sajith Premadasa.
