The whole of Asia will have to suffer the consequences in the event Pakistan uses small-scale nuclear weapons against India in self-defence, said Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka.
He noted that Sri Lanka could experience air pollution by the toxins emanated by such weapons.
Jayatilleka alleged the Sri Lankan government remained silent when it should have opened up and vice versa.
He claimed president Anura Kumara Dissanayake telephoned Indian premier Narendra Modi following the terror attack in Pahalgam and said the Sri Lankan people were with India.
President Dissanayake should have made that intervention before India cut off water supplies to Pakistan, he added.
