President Anurak Muara Dissanayake’s senior economic advisor, Duminda Hulangamuwa, has acknowledged the key role played by former President Ranil Wickremesinghe in leading the country into its current situation from an unprecedented economic crisis.

Hulangamuwa, who is also the President of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, emphasized that while it was undeniable that Wickremesinghe had taken action, the country now must move forward and work towards resolving its current challenges.

“He definitely did something. We can’t deny that. Now we must take this forward. We can’t turn back,” he said.

Hulangamuwa also underscored the importance of finding a sustainable way to repay the country’s debts.

He made these comments during a recent discussion on TV Derana.
