The Christmas season has officially begun at Amaya Resorts & Spas, which marked the occasion with its much-anticipated cake mixing ceremonies at its resorts in Kandy, Dambulla and Pasikudah. Guests and team members came together to blend generous measures of dried fruits, nuts and aromatic spices, continuing a cherished tradition that marks the start of the festive season.
At Amaya Hills, Kandy, the celebration unfolded against the cool air and misty ridges of the central highlands. Chefs rolled up their sleeves, blending fruits and spices into the mixture as festive carols played in the background.

At Amaya Beach, Pasikudah, the occasion took on a relaxed tropical ambience, with the sea breeze, golden sunshine and the laughter of gathered guests setting the tone for a Christmas by the ocean.
At Amaya Lake, Dambulla, the ceremony was held beside the Kandalama Reservoir, with the surrounding greenery of Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle providing a tranquil backdrop to the festivities.

The cake mixing ceremonies reflect the spirit that defines Amaya, bringing guests, families and team members together to share in the warmth of the season. As the mixtures are left to mature in the weeks ahead, they carry with them the anticipation of the Christmas celebrations to come, promising memorable festive moments at each of Amaya’s destinations.
