The United National Party (UNP) has appointed former Minister Harin Fernando as the Deputy Secretary General of Political Mobilisation, entrusting him with the task of fostering unity among all political parties in Sri Lanka under a shared national agenda.

As part of his new responsibilities, Fernando will also take the lead on the UNP’s “Thousand Meetings” initiative, a countrywide programme designed to boost political mobilization and strengthen the party’s connection with citizens at the local level.
